About ITCI

The International Trade Compliance Instituted (ITCI) is a grant-funded initiative of the El Camino College Center for International Trade Development (CITD) in Hawthorne, California. Start-up grant funding was provided in 2008 by the U.S. Department of Education, under its Title VI B, Business & International Education program. ITCI was established in February 2009, in collaboration with the U.S. Commercial Service (USCS) and the California Space Authority (CSA).

ITCI also relies heavily on CITD Interns to add to and maintain the ITCI Website. We owe special thanks to the three Interns who helped so much to build the ITCI Regulatory and Regulatory FAQ databases prior to launch: Marika Verdy (ICHEC Brussels Management College), Grace Warrick (George Washington University), and Cristina Nicoaro (University of California Berkeley).  

Driving Directions to the El Camino College CITD and ITCI 

ITCI is located at the El Camino College Business Training Center, 13430 Hawthorne Blvd., Hawthorne, CA 90250, about 5 miles south of Los Angeles Airport (LAX). 

Heading North from Long Beach Airport: Take the San Diego (405) Freeway to the Hawthorne Blvd. exit. Turn right onto Hawthorne Blvd. Building is about 2 miles on the right, between 134th and 135th Street.  

Heading South from LAX Airport: Take the San Diego (405) Freeway to the El Segundo Blvd. exit. Turn left at bottom of ramp to end. Turn left onto El Segundo Boulevard. Turn right onto Hawthorne Blvd. Building is on the left, between 134th and 135th Street.

From Downtown Los Angeles: Take the 110 Freeway South. Take the 105 W exit towards LAX Airport. Take the Prairie Ave./Hawthorne Blvd. exit. Keep left at the fork in the ramp to end. Turn left onto Hawthorne Blvd. Building is on the left, between 134th and 135th Street.
